The 23-year-old blueliner split the 2011-12 campaign between the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Heat and St. John’s IceCaps, posting 4 assists and 18 penalty minutes in 40 games. He also recorded 5 assists and 6 points in nine ECHL tilts with the Utah Grizzlies last year.
Overall, the Vancouver, British Columbia, native accumulated 5 goals, 20 assists, and 25 points in 109 career AHL outings with the Heat and IceCaps. He also made his National Hockey League debut in three games with the Calgary Flames in 2008-09, collecting an assist.
Prior to turning pro, NEGRIN notched 13 goals, 104 assists, and 117 points in 235 career Western Hockey League games with the Kootenay Ice and Swift Current Broncos spanning five seasons (2004-09).
