Wolves Receive Defenseman Brent Regner from Peoria

The Chicago Wolves have received defenseman Brent Regner from the Peoria Rivermen in exchange for future considerations. In addition, the Vancouver Canucks have loaned forward Stefan Schneider to Peoria and the Wolves have loaned forward Nathan Longpre to the Rivermen.

REGNER has posted 3 goals, 15 assists, and 18 points in 66 games with Peoria this year. He also has skated in two ECHL tilts with Evansville this year, bagging a goal. The 23-year-old blueliner set career-highs with 29 helpers and 31 points in 75 outings with Springfield during the 2011-12 campaign.

The Westlock, Alberta, native is in his fourth professional campaign and has tallied 15 markers, 73 assists, and 88 points in 247 career outings with Peoria, Springfield and Syracuse from 2009-present.

SCHNEIDER has accrued 2 goals, 5 assists, and 7 points in 31 games since rejoining the Wolves on Dec. 17. The 23-year-old forward also has skated in eight ECHL games with Kalamazoo this year from Nov. 26 to Dec. 17, posting two points (G, A). He began the 2012-13 campaign with an injury that kept him sidelined until Nov. 30.

LONGPRE has notched 4 goals, 8 assists, and 12 points in 53 contests with Chicago this year during his second professional campaign. The 24-year-old forward tallied 11 goals, 10 assists, and 21 points in 59 games with the Wolves and Springfield as a rookie last year.
