The Wolves have surrendered just 13 goals in their last seven outings, which includes holding their opponents to one or fewer markers in four of those outings; Chicago is averaging 2.45 goals-against this year, which ranks fifth in the AHL.

--- Chicago has killed off 30 of its opponents’ last 32 man-advantage chances since allowing three power-play goals on three chances on Oct. 14 at Milwaukee; the Wolves, which have been perfect on the penalty kill in six of their last eight outings, rank sixth in the AHL with a 85.1 efficiency rating on the penalty-kill (40 of 47).

--- The Wolves have opened scoring in six of their last seven games; Chicago has posted a 4-2-0-0 mark when lighting the lamp first this year.

--- Forward Nathan Longpre has scored two goals in four games since making his team debut on Oct. 28.

--- The Wolves scored their first power-play marker in six games on Friday, snapping a streak that saw them fail to convert on 21 consecutive man-advantage chances; Chicago ranks 26th in the AHL with an 11.5 efficiency rating on the power-play this season (six of 52).

--- Chicago has been held to two or fewer goals in 10 of its 11 tilts this season; the Wolves scored a season-high four goals on Oct. 22 at Rockford.


--- Wolves forward Victor Oreskovich will visit the Highland Park Library, 494 Laurel Avenue, at 4 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 16, to kick off the team’s “Read to Succeed” program, presented by Vista Health System and Butternut Bread. Members of the squad will make more than 25 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 600,000 children since its inception in 1995.
