EARLY RISERS


The Wolves host the Houston Aeros in their final schoolday game of the year at 11 a.m. on Tuesday; Chicago has posted a 5-1-0-0 mark in School Day games since 2009-10 and have outscored its opponents 23-8 in its six morning tilts over the last three seasons.

--- Mark Mancari: Saw his four-game point streak snapped on Saturday after he collected 6 points (2G, 4A) from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3 ... Paces the Wolves and shares 13th in the AHL with 18 goals and is tied for first on the team and 17th in the league with 39 points in 40 matchups this season ... Recorded 28 points (11G, 17A) in his last 22 outings, which includes at least one point in 16 of those games and eight multiple-point contests

--- Jordan Schroeder: Tallied the lone goal for Chicago on Saturday ... Shares second on Chicago with 13 goals and ranks third with 27 points in 46 contests this season ... Accrued 11 points (5G, 6A) in his last 11 tilts, which included eight points (3G, 5A) during a career-best six-game point streak from Jan. 11-21 ... Already surpassed his 2010-11 goal total (10) and is one points shy of matching the 28 points he posted in 61 games as a rookie with the Manitoba Moose last season

--- Anton Rodin: Registered 5 points (G, 4A) in his last five games, which included his fifth goal of the year on Friday ... WOLF TRACKS


--- The Wolves saw their four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 4-1 defeat to Peoria; Chicago sits in second place in the Midwest Division with 54 points (25-17-1-3) and trails first-place Charlotte by six points, but holds two games in hand.

--- Chicago was perfect on the penalty kill for the 25th time this season on Friday (one for one); the Wolves, who have achieved perfection on the penalty kill in 10 of their last 14 contests, rank sixth in the AHL with an 84.3 efficiency rating on the penalty kill this season (156 of 185).

--- Goaltender Eddie Lack has kicked out 59 of 61 shots in his last two wins after allowing 11 goals on 80 shots during a three-game losing skid from Jan. 14-21.

--- Chicago has bagged 104 of its 133 goals this season in the first two periods of a game; the Wolves have scored 19 markers in their last seven tilts, with 17 of those tallies coming within the opening 40 minutes of play.

--- Right wing Mark Mancari and defenseman Kevin Connauton have bagged 12 of the team’s 32 power-play markers this season; the Wolves rank 21st in the league with a 16.2 efficiency rating on the power play this season (32 of 198).

--- The Wolves sit in second place in the Illinois Lottery Cup with nine wins in 16 games; Chicago trails Peoria (10 wins in 17 games) and leads Rockford (6 wins in 17 games) in the Illinois Lottery Cup standings.

--- The Chicago Wolves will host their second Beer Tasting fundraiser at RAM Restaurant and Brewery, 700 N. Milwaukee Avenue, in Wheeling, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 16.
